Job Description

Maui Wine located in ‘Ulupalakua is looking for full-time and part-time Hospitality Team Members to join our Tasting Room Team!

The Hospitality Team Member role is a multi-faceted position that requires high energy, a passion for hospitality and an enthusiasm for grape growing and winemaking. An ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a team environment and is comfortable with both taking initiative and following direction within a cohesive team. Success in this role will come to those who take ownership and pride in creating an exceptional experience for our guests.

This position will require weekend availability.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Hosting and greeting customers as they arrive. Managing table assignments.
  • Providing personalized table service with high-level guest interaction. Educate guest on the different styles of wine we produce, guides guest on wine options for tasting and assists with bottle purchases to include merchandise purchases.
  • Preparing orders that have been placed by guest to include wine flights, food orders, and wine by the glass.
  • Assisting with all aspects of service, including back of the house organization, preparation, and cleaning.
  • Assisting guest with retail merchandise, wine purchases and wine shipments.
  • Food preparation as needed following Department of Health Food Safety Guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older & a Maui resident.
  • Obtain a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Obtain a current Maui Department Liquor Control Certification Card.
  • Minimum of 2 years customer service related/Hospitality experience preferred.
  • Possess a professional and positive attitude with a strong work ethic. Willingness and ability to work within a team driven environment.
  • Ability to multitask in fast paced environment, follow instructions and be a self starter.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 40lbs and able to stock merchandise and wine and bust be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
