Job Description

Maui Wine in ‘Ulupalakua is seeking a qualified individual to work in multiple areas of Maui Wine’s production facilities and vineyard.

Maui Wine, Ltd. has been a part of the Upcountry landscape for nearly 50 years. We are farmers, winemakers, stewards, storytellers, and gracious hosts to our local community and island visitors. Joining Maui Wine is joining a small community of passionate people who take pride in coming to work here each day.

This full-time, permanent position will be an integral part of the finished wine operations team, which includes bottling, labeling, quality control, warehouse movements, order fulfilment and press pad operations. This position will also flex into project based and seasonal vineyard work regularly. Candidates for the position should be comfortable working as a part of a team in a fast paced and ever-changing workplace.

Essential Duties:

  • Maintaining and working with specialized bottling equipment
  • Bottling line filling, labeling, and packaging
  • Warehouse duties for receiving inventory and preparing outgoing orders
  • Cleaning, organizing, and maintaining workspaces
  • Drive, load and unload trucks and flatbeds
  • Quality control of finished wines and packaging materials
  • Assisting with vineyard operations as needed to include pruning, canopy management, fruit setting, and harvest.

 

Qualifications:

  • Forklift experience required
  • CDL desired
  • Mechanical aptitude for small equipment desired
  • Experience in small equipment maintenance and care
  • Maui Resident – must be over the age of 21
  • Reliable transportation with a clean driving record
  • Physically able to climb, work in confined spaces, under and around machinery
  • Ability to stand, lift and move 50 lbs

  • Work outdoors and on production lines
  • Has a general understanding of wine and how handling can affect product quality
