“Remember that the happiest people are not those getting more, but those giving more.” – Jackson Brown Jr.
According to the National council of non profits, “America’s 1.3 million charitable nonprofits feed, heal, shelter, educate, inspire, enlighten, and nurture people of every age, gender, race, and socioeconomic status, from coast to coast, border to border, and beyond.” What an amazing thing to be able to go to work every day and make a difference. That’s the feeling you get when you work for a non-profit. It’s work with a mission bigger than yourself. It’s a heart-centered path that is more than a job or a paycheck.
The next career fair is focusing on non-profits (along with Maui County jobs). We have over 80 job postings on our site and more jobs that will be advertised at the in-person fair. This is an amazing opportunity to cross over to something new. If you’ve ever wanted to help with issues like homelessness, job training, family resources, developmental disabilities, education, caregiving, nursing or become a technical advisor or administrator, this fair is a great place to start. Come meet their hiring teams and give them a copy of your resume. Register for the virtual events to learn more. Going to work with a mission to help your community is a positive way to give back.
