The Position:

We’re looking for passionate Care Home Assistant Manager (LPN) responsible for managing the daily operations of the ARCH/Care Home in the absence of the Primary Caregiver (Care Home Manager). Ensures the delivery of high-quality care to residents of the care home and provides supervision to care home staff while on duty.

 

  • Observes, documents and reports changes in health status of residents; contacts physicians and/or APRN and schedules appointments as necessary. Processes physician orders.
  • Administers medications and performs procedures and/or treatments according to recognized standards of nursing practice and in conformance with policies of Care Homes by Hale Makua.
  • Performs admission assessment in absence of Primary (Care Home Manager) and develops plan of care accordingly. When needed, coordinates and performs necessary duties related to discharge and/or transfer.
  • Completes required documentation such as monthly progress notes, plan of care, incident reports, and treatment notes in an accurate and timely manner.

 

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current license as a License Practical Nurse in the State of Hawaii.
  • Minimum one-year recent experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse in a Healthcare setting and Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Current and valid 2 Step TB clearance and health review (can be done in-house).
  • First Aid and CPR preferred (can be done in-house).
